Welcome to Class 81!
Wednesday, January 20th:
Students are working on speeches. Class time for this endeavour will be limited. Much of the work will have to done at home. Have your child present the speech to you. Make sure the delivery is at a good pace and volume and that they look around the room. One good way to practise is in front of mirror. Presentations will begin on Monday, February 8th.
Tuesday, February 2nd:
Students are bringing home their option sheets for high school tonight. Please complete, sign and return on Thursday, February 4th.
Reminder: Speeches begin on Monday
Monday, March 1st:
Reminder that class 81 will be doing a video conference with author, Eric Walters tomorrow. We will be able to ask Mr. Walters about one of his novels, Trapped in Ice that we read in class as well as delve into his sources of inspiration and the writing process. The conference will take place at 10:45 and run for one hour. Students will have time to eat lunch afterward and discuss the conference.
Friday, March 5th:
Proofs for grad photos have been handed out; Proofs must be returned no later than Friday, March 12th.
